Funding
Wikimedia Conference Japan 2009 is the first user conference to be held in Japan organized by participants of the projects of WikiMedia Foundation.
We are planning to collect registration fees from the participants. Nevertheless, we are afraid that there might be hiccups if we did not allocate necessary resources before collecting the fees, not to mention that we will be forced to set the fee expensive if we rely solely on it.
Consequently, we ask you for donation to this conference. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Should there be any money left after the conference, the staffs will gratefully donate it to WikiMedia Foundation before dispersing.
Notes
This donation will not be a substitute of the registration fee. You cannot designate a part of your donation as the registration fee, we apologize for the inconvenience in our policy (under which all of us also pay the registration fee).
We cannot reward anything formal in response to the donation. We feel sorry for being helpless.
