Wikimedia Conference Japan 2009 is the first user conference to be held in Japan organized by participants of the projects of Wikimedia Foundation.

While we will receive registration fees from the participants, we are afraid that there might be hiccups if we did not allocate necessary resources before receiving the fees, not to mention that we will be forced to set the fee expensive if we rely solely on it.

Consequently, we ask you for help funding this conference. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Should there be any money left after the conference, the organizers will gratefully donate it to Wikimedia Foundation. (The organizing team is of an ad-hoc nature, so it will disband afterwards.)

Notes

This donation will not be a substitute of the registration fee. You cannot designate a part of your donation as the registration fee. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. (Under our policy, even organizing members pay the registration fee).

We cannot reward anything formal in response to the donation. We feel sorry for being helpless.

Payment Methods

Please donate by the increment of 1,000 JPY to the following accounts. Please also refer to Privacy policy on the handling of your personal information notified to us when you make the transfer.

Postal Money Order

Please transfer to the following postal bank account. You will need to fill in the forms at a postal office and proceed to an ATM or to an accountant. You can also use ゆうちょダイレクト (Yucho Direct). Please specify the amount of your donation as “Donation: the number units” in the correspondence field (where you can also add a message to the staffs).

Bank Transaction

Please make a bank transfer to the following account. Please append “Donation: the number units” to your name when you do so.
